A broker, not a broker's app.

Pete has worked every closing table since 1973 — and still says he "can't wait to get to work in the morning." Five decades of market memory live in this office.

No. 02 — Integrity

Respect for the customer, followed by performance.

It was no coincidence that MarineMax's first acquisition after going public in 1998 was Pete's original firm. They wanted integrity and product knowledge. So do our clients.

No. 03 — Knowledge

Deliberately diversified.

We've never specialized in one kind of vessel. Sportfish, motor yacht, Southport center console, raised pilothouse — whatever meets your criteria, from 20 feet to 165.

The Founder

Fifty years on the broker's side of the table.

"It's all about respect for the customer and addressing his requirements — followed by PERFORMANCE."

Pete and partner Gary Oviatt started Woods & Oviatt in Cape Coral in January 1973 — "Baptism by Fire." They moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1981; Pete bought Gary out in 1985. MarineMax acquired the firm in 1998. In 2006 Pete launched Woods & Associates with his wife Anne and son Ryan, and said he had "been reincarnated."
